These four characters are designed for four sections (eat, drink, play and enjoy) for hoji.uk, an Asian products website based in the UK. The inspiration is from the famous Four Heavenly Kings from Buddhism and Ukiyo-e art, a twist of British elements is also added to represent “eat, drink, play and enjoy”.

This character is “eat”, inspired by King of the south of Four Heavenly King in Buddhism, who causes good growth of roots, his symbolic weapon is sword.

This character is “drink”, inspired by King of the west of Four Heavenly King in Buddhism, dragon is his symbolic weapon.

This character is “play”, inspired by chief of Four Heavenly King in Buddhism, the protector of the north, ruler of rain, using an umbrella as his symbolic weapon. Sherlock Holmes, rainbow, new technology are also added.

This character is “enjoy”, inspired by King of south of Four Heavenly King in Buddhism, the god of music, using pipa (stringed instrument) as his symbolic weapon.
